Duty Free Shopping

A visitor's guide

A vacation to Grand Cayman is not complete without at least one day to shopping.

Whether for gifts to take home to friends and family, a luxury watch you’ve been coveting for years, or even a diamond ring to get down on one knee with, you’ll want to shop in Grand Cayman, Veteran travelers to the Caribbean often delay their shopping until they arrive in Grand Cayman in order to take full advantage of Cayman’s unmatched selection and incredible tax and duty free prices.

WHAT DOES TAX/DUTY FREE MEAN?

The Cayman Islands are famous for duty and tax-free shopping, but what does that really mean? The word “Duty” simply means tax on imported goods and in Cayman, we have many wonderful products that are free of those taxes so those savings are passed on to you! There is also no direct taxation on any individuals or companies in Cayman, so no sales tax is applied to your purchase.

Most branded goods have duty free savings of anywhere from 10%-30% off the US retail price. Essentially, you are able to buy a host of products at sales tax-free and duty-free prices which makes for significant savings.

THE SELECTION

A trip to George Town Shopping District will allow you to immediately understand why our prices are so competitive. With more luxury retailers located in a square mile than you would find in any shopping mall in the US, our stores’ selection must be exciting and prices must be competitive.

SOMETHING UNIQUE

In addition to designer brands, there is an incredible selection of unique and exclusive pieces that are sourced locally and around the world available at incredibly attractive prices in our duty-free stores.
